What is a Collaborative Festival?
Each year Whippoorwill Arts collaborates with exciting festival organizations with shared values to present live music featuring Whippoorwill Arts musicians and other regional and national roots musicians. Partner organizations — such as the Freshgrass Foundation and Northwest Folklife — value working musicians, equity pay and booking, and building community.

✶ Levitt Foundation Shouts Out SuperFolk! 2024 ✶
We’re honored to have been featured in the Levitt Foundation's article, “How Levitt Communities Promote Creative Learning All Year Long.” The article celebrates the many ways Levitt helped bring free music to young people in 2024, including our own SuperFolk! 2024 Festival, held this past March in Tacoma, WA. In collaboration with our partners, Northwest Folklife and Tacoma Arts Live, we brought live music performed by Sabor de mi Cuba and Mike “Spiderman” Robinson to local public school students at Blix and Roosevelt Elementary schools, respectively. Collectively, these concerts reached over 200 students and faculty members. Another massive thank you to the Levitt Foundation for helping make these concerts possible.
