ABOUT WHIPPOORWILL ARTS
Whippoorwill is a musician-centered nonprofit modeling ethical pay and respect for working musicians and to transform the music ecosystem so working musicians can survive and thrive. 

Our programs include Music aLIVE which brings high quality live music to underserved communities; Fellowships to support the creative endeavors of talented roots musicians; Advocacy to promote Ethical Pay Guidelines, and a Festival to showcase talent.

OVERVIEW 
Whippoorwill Arts is seeking a dedicated volunteer to join our team and support various aspects of our organization. As a volunteer, you will have the opportunity to contribute to our mission of supporting Roots musicians and providing music to our communities while gaining experience in a dynamic and creative arts and music environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Include, but are not limited to:

  • Assisting team members with musician and venue research 

  • Videotaping and assisting with Music aLIVE concerts in Bay Area

  • Supporting research on Music as Medicine

  • Supporting regular program evaluations of program efficacy

  • Conducting grant research and finding potential donors

  • Creating social media posts (eg, Instagram, Facebook) to promote events, uplift musicians, and spread our mission

  • Coordinating thank you and holiday cards and gifts for team members and donors

  • Other duties as assigned to support the overall operations of Whippoorwill Arts

We invite Interns to join in-person bi-weekly Monday meetings in Point Richmond, lunch provided. We prefer at least a 2x/month meeting with us in person.
