Blues Expression Workshop with Chad Manning: The Blues Expression Workshop will be a great opportunity to hone your blues scales, slides, bends, textures, tails, and other expressive devices while building a musical blues vocabulary which is at the core of so many American styles of music.

Fiddle Fills Workshop with Annie Staninec: Explore ideas for backing up a singer. We'll discuss various options and learn some fills, try some longbow backup, and more!

How To Include Inclusive Spaces in Traditional Music: In this 50-minute session, a panel of four experts will speak about their experiences building inclusive spaces, in-person and online, throughout the American roots music industry and community. As leaders of the Bluegrass Pride movement and within their own industry specialties, the panel will be speaking both about creating diverse spaces from the ground up, and about creating change within existing spaces in order to become more welcoming and inclusive.

Collaborative Songwriting with Nell Robinson & Jim Nunally: This song will discuss concepts for writing/composing songs, different types of collaboration, song evolution and more! Participants welcome to bring an original song.

Panel Discussion: Dix Bruce will lead the round-table discussion with this year’s five Whippoorwill Arts Artist Award winners. Tune in and learn more about their lives and music, what they are doing now and plans for their Whippoorwill Arts Artist Award grants.
